These Terms & Conditions apply to all courses, cadaver courses, fellowship and observation programmes, live surgery courses and other trainings (“Programmes”) offered on comedturkey.com by Comed Sağlık Turizm Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi, Istanbul, Türkiye (“Comed”, “we”, “us”). By registering for a Programme or making a payment, you accept these terms.
1. Eligibility
Our Programmes are intended for physicians, dentists, residents, medical students and other healthcare professionals, as stated on each Programme page. We may ask for proof of your qualification (for example a medical licence, diploma or residency certificate) and may decline or cancel a registration if the requirements are not met. Observation programmes do not include independent patient treatment; any hands-on activity on patients takes place only where permitted by Turkish law and the host institution, under direct supervision.
2. Registration and booking
A booking is confirmed only after you receive our written confirmation by email and the required payment has been received. Places are limited and allocated in the order in which confirmed payments arrive. Please make sure the personal details you provide are correct, as they will be used on your certificate.
3. Fees and payment
- Fees are shown on each Programme page or in your personal offer, in euros (EUR).
- The fee includes only the items listed for that Programme (for example lab access, specimens, instruments, lectures, coffee breaks, certificate). Flights, accommodation, transfers, visa costs and insurance are not included unless explicitly stated.
- A deposit of 15% of the Programme fee is due at booking to secure your place. The balance is due no later than 30 days before the start date.
- Bank charges and currency conversion costs are paid by the participant.
4. Cancellation by the participant
Cancellations must be sent to us in writing by email. Because cadaver specimens, lab time and faculty are reserved in advance for each participant, the following refunds apply:
- 30 days or more before the start date: full refund of the fees paid, minus the 15% deposit.
- Less than 30 days before the start date, or no-show: no refund.
Instead of cancelling, you may ask to transfer your place to a colleague who meets the eligibility requirements, or to a later date of the same Programme, subject to availability.
5. Changes or cancellation by Comed
We may change the programme schedule, faculty or venue where necessary, while keeping the content of the Programme substantially the same. If we cancel or postpone a Programme (for example because the minimum number of participants is not reached, or due to circumstances beyond our control), you may choose a full refund of the fees paid to us or a transfer to another date. We are not responsible for flights, accommodation or other costs you have arranged yourself, so we recommend booking refundable travel.
6. Certificates
Participants who attend the full Programme receive a certificate of attendance. CME/CPD credits or accreditation apply only where this is explicitly stated on the Programme page. A certificate of attendance does not grant a licence or authorisation to practise any procedure.
7. Conduct in the cadaver lab and clinical settings
- Human specimens must be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
- Photography, filming or sharing images of specimens or patients is not allowed without written permission from Comed and the host institution.
- You must follow the safety rules, dress code and instructions of the faculty and lab staff, and use the protective equipment provided.
- We may exclude a participant who does not follow these rules, without refund.
8. Health, insurance and travel
You are responsible for your own travel, visa, health and liability insurance, and for any vaccinations required by the host institution. Please tell us in advance about any health condition or allergy (for example to latex or fixation chemicals) that may affect your participation.
9. Course materials
Lectures, presentations, videos and other course materials are for your personal educational use only and may not be recorded, copied or distributed without our written permission.
10. Liability
Our liability towards you is limited to the fees you have paid for the Programme concerned, except where the law does not allow such a limitation (for example in cases of intent or gross negligence). We are not liable for indirect losses, travel costs or loss of income.
11. Personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to your booking.
